Farmstay at Hedåkra Apple Farm

3 km south of Kivik, in the heart of the Apple Kingdom, you’ll find Hedåkra Farm. Here you’ll find a brand new 30 sqm apartment fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a holiday in Österlen.

Available for short stays: Thursday to Sunday or Sunday to Thursday throughout the summer.

The kitchen has an oven, dishwasher, and espresso machine. The beds are two 90 cm wide beds that you can choose to place next to each other or apart. The room has a 47-inch TV with casting capability and Wi-Fi. Outside the apartment, there is a small seating area with views of apple orchards, a gravel road, and the church in S Mellby in the distance.

If you come with a wheelchair, it should work fine even though the bathroom is not specially adapted. On the farm live other tenants as well as our own family in the main building. At Hedåkra, you’ll find peace and privacy but still be right in the middle of Österlen and close to beaches, restaurants, and flea markets.

Just south of S Mellby church village, slightly elevated above Kivik, there is a winding gravel road that used to be the old country road down towards Nybro Mill and the turnoff towards Stenshuvud and Kivik’s garden. Here lie some hidden farms with large apple orchards where it’s nice to cycle or walk in privacy, yet still not far from the baker in S Mellby, Pizzeria Friden, or the charming Stjärnbryggeriet.

The beach in Kivik is 4 km away, and the Stenshuvud National Park is also 4 km directly east.

The kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience.

The apartment is 30 sqm and just right for 2 people who want to take care of their own meals. Outside the apartment, you have a small seating area facing west with lovely evening sun. Bring your bike and pedal down to the baker in S Mellby for your breakfast rolls.

The apartment is made up with bed linen and towels for your convenience. Final cleaning is included, but please empty the trash and dishwasher before you leave. If you wish to do laundry, we have a laundry room available. The nearest electric car charging stations are at Svabesholm or Stenshuvud.
